Propulsion Bid & Studies Lead, Thales Alenia Space
Ramon fell in love with the space industry and space exploration through the participation on the first edition of “Inspiration Mars” competition, organized by the Mars Society in 2013. His team made it into the top 10 and received an honourable mention on their design of the first human fly-by mission to Mars.
He has now extensive knowledge of the commercial and institutional space market needs thanks to his role as Propulsion Bid & Studies lead within the satellite prime contractor TAS. From these broad market needs, he has had a focus on understanding and addressing the “New Space” type opportunities and solutions which have lead him to be in contact with a wide range of space start-ups: from end-service customer to subsystem or product based start-ups. He has a strong interest in innovation and new space technologies and as such he keeps a good outlook for new companies and opportunities within the space industry.
